| I was contacted by a lady to redo some of her furniture. It was some stuff she had gotten when first married and has since upgraded her own set. Still being in great shape she wanted a fresh new look for these dressers so she could still keep them and use them in her daughter's bedroom. The little girl was thinking a "Beachy" look in a pretty shade of blue. This is what I came up with. Enjoy! |

| I just love how this little table turned out but it didn't come easy! I actually struggled with finishing this table & it sat for weeks half way done. First of all it was in pieces and I had to glue & screw and basically rebuild the whole thing to stabilize it so it wasn't wobbly. Nothing irritates me more than a shifty & wobbly table that has compromised joints. So after doing that I decided to use a Chalk Paint colored in Duck Egg Blue. I had just enough in a can that was left over from another project. I painted it and yuck! .. I still wasn't happy with it and yet again it sat unfinished for another couple days while I got distracted working on another project. After regrouping, I tackled the table again and thought.. I'll just paint it white, finish it and get this thing out of my house! Ok, with that done I started the magic of sanding to distress it and was delighted when with pops of dusty blue emerged from underdeath. |

| I've had this piece done for several weeks now & was just waiting for the Vintage-Looking glass knobs that I like to use on the Antique-Makeovers to get it in. I was at the store today & they finally restocked! .. I snatched up every one of these & quickly rushed home to put together the finished look. So Excited to share... |

| Painted the sides in a Chalky distressed Black. The the drawer fronts so much Character that the plain white sides looked just that...Plain. |

| Nothing is Normal or Easy with any Make-Over that I do. Every piece has "baggage" and some problems I have to troubleshoot and this one was no different. The dresser was old & needed lots of cleaning up so I painted the drawers inside & OUT. I slide the nice clean drawers back in their place, anxious to see the progress & guess what??.. STUCK!! I finally got them all out & because they slide wood-on-wood I took my trusty side kick (Power Sander) & zipped all the paint off, then waxed all those spots by rubbing canning/jelly wax that you can get at the grocery store. I am happy to report that all that worked! |

| A lady contacted me after seeing my french-country painted pieces online & asked if I would makeover her vintage finds. She loved my combination of refinished dark stained wood along with my country-cream finish. I was happy to take on her pieces which included a pedestal table with 5 chairs & a hutch. | After a few minor repairs this piece was ready for its transformation. After refinishing the top of the base chest, I decided to refinish the doors as well. I thought it would "marry" the 2 pieces better & add more richness to their look. I also painted the backing & insides of the top cabinet a shade darker for a subtle contrast. I thought this would be a sharp look as I didn't want it to look like plain ol' kitchen cabinets. |

| The table top was refinished & stained dark & the base was hand-painted & finished with a lovely French Wax giving it a subtle satiny glow. The owners have iron details in their home so I left the metal scrolled pieces original to the piece to go with their decor. Thanks!! Carrie & Greg. |
