| I was told that the wood is "Exotic". This looks like a one-of-a-kind piece even back in it's day. I imagine it was made by a woodworking artisan seeing how detailed the woodgraining is along with the creativity that went into the piece using off-set hardware on the front and the art-deco styled design down the front doors. |

| The hardware is all original to this piece. It does have a locking mechanism but is missing its key. |

| I found that it was easier to strip the entire piece & when I did I found that the top had alot of detail & character. Even though it had a little veneer chipping it was still too lovely to paint over. |
